Celebrating the June 30 Revolution, the National Training Academy (NTA) published a special NTA Podcast under the title "Building the Egyptian Person" discussing the journey of human development in Egypt over the past decade. The Executive Director of the National Training Academy (NTA) Rascha Ragheb joined a number of NTA alumni to discuss the Academy’s role in enhancing the capabilities of Egyptian youth and empowering them to participate in the journey of construction and development. The alumni also shared their experiences during their journey at the Academy and how they have benefited from what they have learned.
Ragheb, the main guest among the Academy’s alumni and its distinguished leadership cadres, explained at the beginning of her word that the NTA is the dream job which helped her make the change she dreamed of all her life. She also strongly rejected the idea that the Academy was an employment gateway, because this would reduce the value of the national effort made by the state towards youths. She added that joining the Academy is the beginning of the journey of change for the better.
Dr. Rascha also spoke about the importance of the human capital, saying, "I always saw that knowledge, science, training, and empowerment of human calibers is a successful investment in inexhaustible wealth. So many times during my career, when I had to choose between an institution that helps me fulfil my desire or a more profit-oriented organization, I chose the one that helped me make change."
Ragheb further said, "At the NTA, we always work to offer the latest." She said that there are not many countries that have the courage to take decisions like those taken by the political leadership in Egypt towards youth rehabilitation and empowerment, since launching the Presidential Leadership Program in 2015 and announcing 2016 as the Year of Youth, in addition to holding many National Youth Conferences.
Rascha added that NTA’s slogans, “The National Project of Building Humans” and “Reshape the Future”, correspond with having a new republic and a new and ambitious leadership facing great challenges since 2014. One of these challenges was building the human being, which is a difficult challenge and an enjoyable journey at the same time. The NTA has engaged with it and became the National Project for Building Human Capital.
She concluded by saying that June 30 and July 03, 2013, witnessed the awareness of the Egyptian people and was not just complaining about the situation at the time. The Egyptian people have valued their culture and land from the time of the ancient Egyptians. The sacrifices made by the Egyptian army, particularly after 2012, demonstrate this.
