In a historic moment, a great achievement is being added to the National Training Academy’s partnerships portfolio. After long and detailed negotiations, a memorandum of understanding was signed today between NTA and the Finnish Institute of Public Administration (HAUS), which is the world best institute in public administration development today. HAUS was established fifty years ago with the aim of increasing the efficiency of the central government and participating in the development of operations and projects in Finland.
The importance of the cooperation with Finland comes from its ranking as one of the top countries in the level of education and training as well as its unique experience in the field of public administration development. The cooperation focuses on developing the public sector leadership and developing the human capital capabilities for the public sector in order to raise the skills of the Egyptian civil servants.
The cooperation also reflects on several lectures being part of the activities to some of the programs, on top of which comes the Executives Presidential Leadership Program (EPLP). In addition to that is implementing joint programs and workshops in the field of general management for Egyptian civil servants, together with conducting field visits for the employees of both sides to exchange knowledge and experiences regarding the nature of the training systems.
The agreement was signed via video conference technology at the headquarters of the National Training Academy, and in the presence of Dr. Rascha Ragheb, the Executive Director of NTA and several officials of the academy, and at the headquarters of the Finnish Institute of Public Administration (HAUS) in Finland, in the presence of Kyusti Vakvinian, the Director of HAUS, and Prof. Lotta Force, the Senior International Relations Specialist at the Institute.
